The beauty industry constantly evolves which keeps many of us professionals on our toes and our eyes open to all the different trends.

2023 is finally here and we wanted to share some of our favorite looks we think are going to be some of the next looks you’re going to see this year. 

The 90s and early 00s nostalgia is going to continue trending and make a full comeback this year. Don’t be shocked when you see everyone look like it’s 1995. The return of spiky buns and smudged, lived-in eyes is going to be balanced out by bare skin looks to create uniquely personal looks- just make sure you leave the over-plucked brows in the past where they belong!

Here are some trends that we think are going to be all the rage this year:

Easy 1, 2, 3 Skin Care Routines

Thoughtful skin care routines doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy every product under the sun or be influenced by your favorite TikToker by a

 hyped up skin product. We think people are going to shift towards a minimalist skincare routine based on your skin type and ditch the 12-step routines for that simplified version.

Layerin’ It Up

Long Live Layers! Salons are constantly getting asked by clients for more layers so the trend with shaggy layers will continue to blossom especially when people are tossing blow dryers to the side and want more minimal hair routines but still have that effortless va-va-voom look.

The Butterfly and Wolfe Haircuts are quickly becoming some of our favorites. Who wouldn’t like some shorter, wispier layers that frame your face?

Hair Graphics

Individualized graphic designs are going to be all the rage in barbershops.

Prepare to see a lot of artwork rockin’ on top of some cropped heads or even being added as a fun custom look to the tapered back. We’re ditching plain ol’ boring and looking for ways we can add a little more pizazz to our shorter cuts.
